Many are familiar with the myriad of benefits that CBD offers – from better mood and increased calmness to improved sleep and pain relief. However, what many may not fully grasp is the significance of integrating CBD into their daily routine. Taking CBD every day can be a helpful practice in your wellness toolkit.

Today, we will explore the multifaceted advantages of consistent, daily CBD use, unraveling the science behind its interaction with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), and shedding light on why committing to this wellness routine can be a transformative step toward reaching your health and wellness goals faster. If you've ever wondered how often to take CBD, read on to see why daily CBD consumption isn't merely a trend, but a vital component on your journey to feeling your absolute best and reaching your wellness goals faster.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) & CBD

To truly grasp why daily CBD consumption is important for your well-being, let's delve into the intricate world of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This system, which some refer to as the body's "master regulator," plays a pivotal role in maintaining balance within your body. The ECS consists of a network of receptors and endocannabinoids, which are naturally produced by your body.  It's responsible for regulating various essential functions, such as mood, stress response, sleep, immune function, pain sensation, and more. Endocannabinoid Deficiency is a theory that may help us understand some common conditions such as fibromyalgia, migraines, irritable bowel syndrome, autoimmune disorders, and mood disorders to name a few.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-intoxicating compound derived from the hemp plant. When consumed, CBD interacts with the ECS, influencing its receptors and promoting balance within the body. Daily CBD use helps support the ECS by helping regulate its functions more effectively and efficiently. By consistently providing the ECS with CBD, you enhance its ability to maintain balance and optimize your body's functions. This daily partnership fosters an environment of equilibrium, where your body can operate at its best.

I’ve had patients who told me that they (or someone they know) tried taking CBD once or twice and it did not work – and not seeing any immediate results, they gave up,  assuming it did not work. That’s when I have to educate them about how CBD takes time to build up in the system, and they need to use it consistently for at least 21-30 days.

By consistently using CBD every day, the cumulative effect allows the compound to gradually build up in the system and provide sustained improvements in wellness. Most folks feel the effects of CBD within 20-40 minutes. And when the CBD is combined with other functional ingredients, like melatonin for sleep or ashwagandha for calming, you will often experience results right away as those ingredients kick in. But CBD itself does need time to build up in the systems for maximum results, which is why sticking with it for at least a 21-30 days is so important.  Also, finding the right dose that fits your body is very important versus relying on what the suggested dose is for everybody else.  Everyone is unique and special so individual dosages will vary with body mass index, diet, metabolism, and body water content.

The Benefits of Using CBD Every Day

Elevated Mood

One of the significant benefits of a daily CBD routine is its ability to enhance mood –  or as I prefer toI say, an “unburdened” mood. CBD has been shown to help manage mood swings and fluctuations, providing a sense of emotional stability. By interacting with serotonin receptors in the brain, CBD can inspire a sense of calm, promoting a more positive outlook on life.

Stress Reduction

Stress takes a toll on both your mental and physical health. CBD's anxiolytic properties, which may help alleviate stress and anxiety, which in turn contributes to lower blood pressure since perhaps some mental anguish is alleviated. Elevated stress levels are often linked to hypertension, and by promoting relaxation, CBD may play a role in maintaining healthy blood pressure levels.

Improved Sleep Patterns

Quality sleep is crucial for overall well-being, but many struggle with sleep disorders or disturbances. CBD can play a significant role in regulating sleep cycles and enhancing the quality of sleep. By interacting with receptors involved in sleep-wake cycles, CBD promotes a more restful and rejuvenating slumber.

Chronic Pain Management

Chronic pain can significantly impact one's quality of life. CBD has shown promising results in helping ease daily aches and pains and providing calming relief during physical discomfort. By interacting with receptors associated with pain perception, CBD can offer a natural alternative or adjunct for managing chronic pain.

Weight Management

Maintaining a healthy weight isn't just about diet and exercise; stress and workout recovery also play crucial roles. CBD can help by reducing stress and anxiety, which may prevent stress-induced overeating. Moreover, CBD can aid in post-workout recovery, reducing muscle soreness and promoting a quicker return to your fitness routine.

Digestive & Nausea Relief

Digestive discomfort and nausea can disrupt your daily life. CBD interacts with CB receptors in the gastrointestinal tract, potentially alleviating issues like irritable bowel syndrome and nausea. For those who frequently experience digestive disturbances, a daily CBD routine (especially one with apple cider vinegar) may offer much-needed relief.

Bone & Joint Health

As we age, joint health becomes increasingly important. Daily CBD use may contribute to better bone and joint health. CBD's anti-inflammatory effects may help manage the discomfort that often comes with conditions like arthritis and joint discomfort. While CBD is not a cure for any such conditions, it may help ease the daily aches and pains associated with various issues.  If joint pain is alleviated to a degree, then it may be easier to walk, which can help maintain bone strength.

Healthy Skin

Daily CBD use can contribute to the health and appearance of your skin. CBD's anti-inflammatory properties may help with skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Additionally, its antioxidant properties can help combat free radicals, leaving your skin looking and feeling more radiant.

Enhancing Your Wellness Goals by Taking CBD Every Day

In the pursuit of your wellness goals, the path to success is illuminated by one essential principle: consistency. Establishing a daily CBD routine not only offers immediate advantages, but it also sets the stage for a long-lasting commitment to self care. Beyond the immediate benefits it offers, establishing a daily CBD routine can become a valuable habit, forming the foundation of a sustainable self care plan. By taking CBD daily, you're not merely reaping its rewards in the short term; you're investing in long-lasting well-being. It's about embracing a holistic approach to health and self care.

Moreover, when you combine CBD with other healthy lifestyle practices, such as regular exercise, a well-balanced diet, and effective stress management techniques, you create a synergy that amplifies its positive effects. The saying "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts" rings true here. CBD complements these practices, enhancing their impact on your overall health and wellness.

Establishing & Maintaining Your Daily CBD Routine

To create an effective daily CBD routine, several factors need consideration. By following these recommendations, you can establish and maintain a daily CBD routine that aligns with your wellness goals and maximizes the potential benefits of CBD.

Choosing the Right CBD Products

With a plethora of CBD products available, it's essential to select those that best suit your needs. Whether you prefer CBD oils, capsules, gummies, or topicals, ensure they are from reputable sources and undergo third-party testing for quality and purity.

Finding the Optimal Dosage

The optimal CBD dosage varies from person to person, depending on factors such as body mass, metabolism, diet, water content, and desired effects. Start with a low dose, use it consistently for 30 days to see how you feel, and then gradually gradually increase in small increments with each day moving forward to finally find a dose where you feel the effect you desire (not to go over the recommended amount on the packaging).  If you are at the recommended dose on the package, now just give it a good 21 days trial.

You can also try out full spectrum CBD, which incorporates low levels of THC for added benefits and effectiveness.  Remember to let your medical provider know that you are going to try CBD and they can help you monitor your medication and look out for any side effects.

Monitoring Progress

Keeping track of your CBD journey can help you assess its effectiveness. Take note of any changes in mood, sleep patterns, pain levels, or overall wellbeing. This will help you adjust your dosage if needed and evaluate the long-term benefits of incorporating CBD into your daily routine.

Incorporating CBD Seamlessly into Daily Life

To ensure consistency, integrate CBD into your daily routine in a way that works best for you. Whether it's taking CBD oil first thing in the morning, incorporating CBD gummies into your bedtime routine, or using CBD topicals after a workout, find a schedule and method that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

In essence, by incorporating CBD into your daily regimen and harmonizing it with other healthy practices, you create a holistic approach to wellness that reaches far beyond individual benefits. It becomes a lifestyle - one that fosters a healthier, happier, and more balanced you. Remember, everyone's experience with CBD may vary, and it's important to listen to your body and consult with professionals when needed. With a daily CBD routine, you can unlock the numerous benefits it offers and embark on a journey towards improved wellness and vitality.
